Incoming Bluesey!

My AD offered me a submariner Bluesey out of the blue (pun intended?). I don’t have a strong purchase history, in fact quite weak. Surprised I got contacted by my salesperson there, but am happy to obtain the watch nonetheless.

This makes me think that things are truly cooling down in the Rolex market. I know that the two-tone Subs aren’t as popular but do ppl really dislike them that much?!

It is one of the few steel/gold watches I would wear. In fact, that is why I bought one. That dial is something else!

Very nice watch. Buy if you like but don’t if you are thinking of reselling. Dealers are taking them brand new at or very close to retail though FYI

Congratulations it is a stunning watch, I recently bought one too (my first Rolex) after only an 8 week wait from an AD that I had no purchase history so maybe the market is turning round.

One of the more popular Rolex watches over decades….actually an iconic Rolex!

Thanks guys! I agree, the blue really pops out. I loved it when I initially tried it on, and I’ll be keeping it a while until the next “big one” comes my way.

Though I found it a tad suspicious as my sales rep planted the seed in my brain when I visited a few months back. They said that a Bluesey would “fit my style”. Showed me an exhibition TT sub on black dial, which also looked good. So yeah, the skeptic in me make me think that they were sitting on that piece or knew it was coming in?

Also with this new piece, I guess I’ll need to get rid of my 5-digit sub. Anyone interested in a “Swiss-only” Sub.

Congratulations, great looking watch. Got mine in 2020 and i wear it a lot. It's a cheerful Sub.

I don't know if your AD was sitting on it, but i know for a fact mine has been sitting on a TT SD43 for a year and it's still there. Their excuse is "it's a display only model". Yeah, right.

Congratulations … my “Bluesy” is my favorite watch in my collection … which includes several of the so called “highly sought after” pieces.

I’m looking forward to you posting some pictures of yours.

Until then, here’s a little color for this post …

Congrats, the Bluesy is awesome but IMHO not as in demand as SS Subs.

Congrats OP! Were you on a 'list'? or they just called because they had no other buyers in line?
