Collection Almost Complete

After a 39 month wait, I was able to finally get a Daytona. My wife and AD surprised me for our wedding anniversary. To say that I am blessed is an understatement. I’ve been fortunate to acquire all of my pieces for retail. My last two pieces will be a blue or white dial Skydweller and an Explorer 2 polar. But, as of now, I’m more than content. Cheers!

The blue is stunning without a doubt! But I feel like the white is classy and flies under the radar.

SkyD color depends on wrist size IMHO. I have a 6 3/4 wrist and the blue maxes it out. Tired on the white dial and it looked HUGE on me. 7 1/4 wrist or larger and you're good with either. Fantastic collection BTW. Really like the dial on that Tag.

How often do you wear the non-Rolex pieces? I’ve been maintaining a shortlist of other brands’ watches that I would like to add (Speedmaster, a Nomos or two, FXD, 300M green, Reverso, some IWC, etc) but I have this nagging suspicion that they will get very, very little use with a 124060 and a 226570 Polar in rotation.

Do you mind sharing which three you wear most frequently and how much time (as a percentage) those top three get in aggregate? Super curious!

Beautiful collection!

That’s tough! The newest watch always gets the most wrist time so that’s currently the Daytona. But I feel like I gravitate to the Rolexes more than any other brand. In order of the most wrist time: Daytona (as of now), BLNR/Sub, Speedmaster, Datejust, Grand Seiko, then all the others. The Grand Seiko is one of my favorite pieces, and I really enjoy wearing it especially with the blue alligator strap. Rolex bracelets are hard to beat for comfort, and at the end of the day, comfort matters the most.

My retirement gift to myself (not for awhile) will be a rose gold DD40 with the sundust dial. But, that’s a huge spend, and I need a long time to mentally prepare for that purchase!

Love how the Movado and Heuer got kicked out of a bed.
