What is this object in Date window?
Hello all, I've had my 126719BLRO less than a month and on the 5th I noticed a strange object in the date window.
Got some close up photos as at first I thought it was a crack but it moves around when cycling through dates! Almost looks like an eyelash or hair as I found another thread from 2019 with the same issue but it's oddly shaped and slightly blue so I have no idea what it is... https://yourimageshare.com/ib/TuU58435rd https://yourimageshare.com/ib/KRBDKuSUmF https://yourimageshare.com/ib/q9eSsalOAP https://yourimageshare.com/ib/633ImgOROs https://yourimageshare.com/ib/ObM4PY2NnT Last edited by genoxy; 7 June 2023 at 10:38 PM.. No idea what it is, but I'm 99.99% sure it shouldn't be there. There is a trip to the AD in your future. Hopefully not a trip for the watch to RSC, but maybe to make sure something didn't break in the movement.

Definitely needs a trip to RSC to address. Foreign object on the date wheel.

What is this object in Date window?
Looking at your pictures I recon it's whatever glue/sealant/adhesive material is used to affix the gold frame around the date window in the dial. It looks to sit above the date wheel at the level of the date window. Like a fine strand of silicone.
The last picture is the clearest

Probably a fiber or maybe a hair. Definitely one would want to get it corrected.

I found a similar lint in my Polar. I gave the watch under warranty to the Rolex service center, which perfectly cleaned the date wheel. Everything lasted, as I remember, about 2 weeks.

Send it off to the official RSC in Melbourne. Have them remove it so it doesn’t get anywhere else it shouldn’t be.
Did you buy it new from the AD? |

You would think on such a high line watch for Rolex, their QC folks would be on extra high alert for any highly visible manufacturing imperfections. The watch needs to be looked at by service.
