Tudor BB GMT S&G?

Any experiences with this watch? I've read reviews of the SS models. The S&G model looks quite attractive. Is the gold covering on the center links durable? The case is a bit thick compared to the Rolex GMT Master II. Considering it as an alternative to the Rolex root beer GMT.

If you see both you will know what works for you. The Tudor is not solid gold on the center link. There were photos that show it being a cap of sorts.

It has the potential to be an alternative, just don't confuse that with a substitute. It's not.

Personally for me, it's the Everose (pink gold) that really makes the CHNR. The Tudor offers value, but it hasn't bee the hit Tudor envisioned IMO (referring to the S&G only).

The CHNR would be a little bit "too nice" of a travel watch for me.
The Tudor is just as functional while being less flashy and much cheaper to worry much about.
The gold bits on the Tudor are satin finished. Bezel and end links are solid 18K gold while the center links and crown are capped/rolled gold. That is a thick sheet of 18K gold rolled on top of steel. It is extremely durable and would withstand daily wear and even several times polishing.
As mentioned by the honorable member above, the BB GMT S&G could be an alternative, not a substitute for the CHNR.

I own the BB GMT in TT. Great watch and I alternate between the OEM Bund strap and the OEM leather strap. I bought it on the bracelet but just because that is the way I do things based on cost to go back and get a bracelet. It is not to me a replacement for the Rolex Root Beer but an alternative that functions flawlessly and looks great.

It's a great watch.

For me, I think it looks better on leather b/c I really don't care for the satin finished look. Not to mention, tones the whole thing down a notch, which is more my style.

For me I think it works great, I have it with the bracelet.... I love the vintage vibes, the warm tones... I think the brushed and satin yellow gold looks fantastic, especially in low light.
I even like the heft of it... and the case thickness doesn't bother too much either.
It's a completely different look and feel/style to the CHNR, not to mention price....

I really wish they had a native Jubilee option for this and the other GMT variants.
My GMT is now on an Uncle Seiko with my Tudor clasp and it is how I wish it came originally.

I had one and it’s a very nice piece. It is a large watch, so works best with large wrist.
Sold it to a friend and he really likes it.
