When in Rome...

...or at least parts of the UK with some heavy Roman influence. Took the 116200 to the UK (where it was safe, BTW) for 2 weeks. Here, I'm at the Roman Baths with the Roman dial 116200 on full jubilee (nod to the former queen) bracelet.

Popped into Mappin & Webb in Chester and, later, Harrod's in London among numerous stops. Different country, same story regarding availability. No surprise, of course. Phenomenal trip to see those things I've only seen in magazines and on TV. Crazy good weather, no rain and temps in the mid to upper 60's for our swing through England, Wales, and Scotland. I overpacked for what I thought would be less than desirable weather.

This can't be overstated. Some of the most beautiful countryside I've ever seen anywhere at any time. Idyllic. Truly amazing.

Nice pic. I grew up in a former small Roman village not too far from the city of Bath (ending in -chester like many former Roman villages, towns and cities).

Nice piece!

Yeah, I really enjoyed my time living in Southwest London. Loved the South Coast, Cornwall, Bath, Wales. The North has a lot of charm too. So many beautiful places all over. Great countryside. I find the UK very underrated.

My money is on that shortly after this post, the OP was dragged into an alley, beaten to pulp, robbed of his timepiece, then thrown into a bathtub where his kidney was promptly removed and sold to the same black market dealer that bought the Rolex.

Clearly he didn't heed the advice of the "Is it safe" admonishments on TRF.

Wishing you a speedy recovery @rohahda

Thanks for not sharing some of the most idyllic beautiful countryside you’ve ever seen anywhere at any time, and instead, a Datejust.

Was in London for the 1st time the week before the coronation; the watch boutiques in Harrod's were amazing. Was offered the Tudor Harrods green BB58; declined due to negative exchange rate (25%) and didn't need another diver.

Fortunately, I posted once I got back home, so I lived to tell the tale. Too busy sightseeing and didn't even bring a laptop.

Too many pictures and even they can't do it justice, especially on Snowdon. Just a great trip all the way around. Also, I don't use Tapatalk, so loading pix can be a pain for proper sizing. First world problems. Also, as I've come to find out on the forum regarding your immense wealth, you probably have a residence or three on Snowdon, so I wouldn't be telling you anything you didn't already know.

Honestly, I didn't think I would need to be thankful for that, but now I am.

Pleased to hear you had a good trip here. Great watch for it - the datejust is my favourite travel/vacation watch as it can do both casual and smart.
