Plain mint green or motif mint green for a Datejust 41?

I like them both, and can't really decide.

What's everyone's take? Plain dial or motif?

Is the too busy when the motif dial is combined with the fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet?

Both are beautiful, but my personal option is that the motif is a bit busy with the jubilee and fluted bezel

For some reason I prefer the plain on the green and motif on the blue.

the motif is not too busy but you loose some of that sun-ray effect. I vote plain.

I went mint on the green and now waiting on a motif for the blue.

With the fluting and jubilee , the motif is a little
too much. Go plain if offered the choice.

Both beautiful watches though !

Motif - doesn't hurt readability but I can see how some find it too busy - I just like the look of it

They both look good but for me the plain green works better.

Plain.

For pattern imo palm > green motif. Too bad it’s not offered in a 41.

I voted for the regular sunray dial but it’s a pretty much a toss up imo.

The fluted/jubilee combo is the real highlight of the watch so some may prefer the dial to be a little less busy….but, if you want something a little different from the norm then the motif is great.

Why are people calling the Fluted motif dial the "motif" ? What about the palm motif ? What about the other motif dials ?

Motif is more interesting, but both are beautiful. Take whichever you are offered first.

For me, that is the case.

And the regular dial is far from “plain” IMHO.

Just bought a "plain" a week ago to celebrate a milestone birthday. Incredible dial on the stainless and wg reference. Only regret? That I didn't go 36. 41 just doesn't do it for me.

36mm’s of pure Rolex perfection.

The only problem with this watch is that it belongs to my wife and not I…

Plain for me. It’s been high up on my list but the 41 seems a bit too large and I’m not sure if the 36 is too small

Definitely prefer the plain dial because these watches have a lot going on as is.

I prefer the plain. The motif looks great as well but a bit too busy with the jubilee / fluted bezel.

No wrong choice as others have stated. For my collection, I would probably go Motif because I don't have a Motif, but if this is your first DJ41 I'd say go Plain. Again, neither is a wrong choice. It really depends on what you have already....
