Happy Birthday Lee, fantastic looking watch

I’m curious … how is that writing printed? From the photo I can’t tell but it almost looks like it’s on the crystal.

Please understand I haven’t had my coffee yet this morning

Thanks, two pretty cool examples although I just got mine last night in time for my birthday today. It came on a Speidel Twistoflex bracelet which I finally managed to get four link out of. I've always loved the Spaceview with the visible internal workings. There's quite a hum coming from the tuning forks which I never realized before. Seeing the Astronaut now makes me want one of those as well with the GMT hand. Curious how the GMT works. I believe it's a bidirectional bezel.

The writing is definitely on the crystal but I can't tell whether it's inside or outside. I'm thinking it's on the inside. That it's still there from 1970 is pretty amazing. I can't tell and I've got the watch in hand. Believe me when I say I fell in love with the Spaceview in the '60s. At that time it was about the most precise watch available and was good to about 4 seconds per month guaranteed and cost a couple of hundred USD. Many were running at about 1 second per month from what I gather. This was before quartz was being used.

I've had it a few weeks now and it still makes me smile every time I put it on like I did the first time I put it on.
