Would you trading up your Daytona Oysterflex to Oysterflex Meteorite dial?

Hi everyone, as we all know, the Oysterflex Daytona with a Meteorite dial is highly sought after. However, if you already own the same color combination without the meteorite, would you consider upgrading for more money? Are they significantly different in appearance?

Ps:The different is $40k

No… why would I give up my own watch that I know it’s history from Day 1 for another watch which I don’t know where it came from, whether it’s been fiddled with, worn how many times by how many hands and give up 40k for it along the way?

Also it’s likely another meteorite Daytona will come out some time down the road. Be patient!

For 40k no. Secondarily the watch will be brought back soon with that dial. It is not gone forever.

as said above, Rolex will keep releasing desirable timepieces; you win some, you lose some. Patience is key......then strike when the irons hot.

I gave up a lot more than that. Sounds like a good deal to me tbh.

Nope.

I love Daytonas, but I wouldn't get 40K's worth of enjoyment from just that dial change.

Would you trading up your Daytona Oysterflex to Oysterflex Meteorite dial?

Assuming you got the OF at retail (~30k) you would be paying well below current grey market for the meteorite but of course, paying far over retail for a meteorite.

70k all in for a meteorite Daytona is not the craziest potential purchase I have heard…

I would consider a different metal/color than your current Daytona though. That way it will feel much different and new.
