Exhibition casebacks

Hi there.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with Custom Watch Concepts, and their exhibitions case backs.

I know this is a bit of a polarizing issue and I'm less interested if people think an exhibition case back is a good idea, but whether the product they sell is good and the experience with the seller.

Thanks

Do they add thickness to the watch?

I mean it's not for me but it's nice they are available for those that want it.

Cannot see the point of exhibition case back on any Rolex watch the movement although one of the best, in the looks department quite plain Jane. Plus the fact Rolex would not service one with a third party case back on. Yes you can remove it and replace with original but unless you have the correct tools and to pressure check after not worth the hassle IMHO.

I have one on my GMT from the same manufacturer. Must be the best in the business and his products have much improved over time.
The quality and finish is on par with Rolex. It fits without gaps. Very happy with it and I enjoy looking at the industrial looking movement from time to time.
Exchanged it myself and it passed pressure tests.

Thanks for all the great answers.

To be more specific even, has anyone dealth with CustomWatchConcepts or Thomas recently (in the last few months for example).

The reason I ask is because I ordered a sapphire caseback off his site and paid for it about 7 days ago, but (other than the paypal payment confirmation) have received no correspondance from CustomWatchConcepts or Thomas. I have sent several emails via all available addresses/forms and received no response. I'm starting to think the company is no longer making them?

Maybe this is usual practice and the caseback just arrives a few weeks later? Anyway, if anyone has any info/experience or knows how to get a hold of Thomas let me know...

These seem like important details to have left out of the original post.

Caseback has been shipped - Thomas is excellent to deal with!!
The problem was on my end with a spam filter I think.

I'll put some pictures when it arrives.
