Are There 2 Versions of the Daytona 116505?

Hi All

I am a big fan of the Daytona, and one model that I never had was the 116505.

After doing some research, I found a random serial with the black dial at a decent price (no card, but dated to around 2010-12 by current owner)

At any rate the watch has not been polished, yet still the lugs do not seem the same shape as the newest/latest model. The lugs are plenty thick, but the newer models have much sharper lugs and this one seems a tad rounder, and while they are sharp, not as sharp as the newer ones I have handled.

On another note, it seems to me that the bezels vary as well from the early 2010's to the later 2010's and 2020's. The newer ones have a pretty dark enamel which I do not love, but seems like that is confirmed with the 520 and 509s as well after doing some homework,

This leads me to believe that there have been some quiet updates to the case and bezel, however I have no way of knowing for sure.

I am hoping some more knowledgeable members can chime in on this, as this is only my assumption/hunch, and I hope I am right.

Thanks in advance!
