My new ride , S5 cabrio

Very happy and want to share my joy.
Hope some of you like it

Sold my 997 turbo because it hardly got any use since my son was born now already 16 months ago. Time flies !

Anyway, this car fits my son perfectly with Isofix car seat and all.

Now I have a fun car and wife and kid can come along too.

Just got it today at 6PM so did not drive a lot but enough to know it's a superb ride. Love it.

When I got home the first thing I did was swap the wheels for Oxigin's.
As you can see my son is ready to hit the road

Don't want to offend, but those aftermarket wheels do not suite that car, IMO. Its your car, so if they rock your world, that's all that counts. But I'm not a fan.

Did the "V6T" badges on the fenders come from the factory? Or did you add them? I would remove them, either way. Once again, your car so whatever floats your boat.

Outside of those two critiques, a very nice car, indeed. I've had the opportunity to ride with one of my driving instructors in an S6 coupe on the track. Quite a capable car, for such a big and heavy vehicle.

Enjoy!

Very nice car!

I would have to agree and de-badge the fenders.

Perhaps a nice lowering to cover the wheel gap?

Very Nice!

Hehehe, that is a perfect use for the back seat. They are made for carseats and little legs :)
I am not a big fan of aftermarket rims, but those look very nice on the car. I wouldn't change anything.

Audi makes great cars! I have heard about people driving it and they sure loved the car! The S5 is so nice!

You must have chosen a perfect time to buy it too, during the recession.

Badges are factory fit, I like them and they stay

Lowering not neccesary, car was just lifted before to mount wheels and had not driven it. So the suspension sat a little higher because of it. It was getting dark and rushed to take a few pictures.

(Almost) Everybody, thanks for the nice comments.

2. RESPECT THE OPINION AND CHOICES OF OTHERS. Example: If someone puts their Sea Dweller on a Pink and baby blue nato strap, that's their business. Think first .... click the back button on your browser and avoid posting a comment that will insult others and earn yourself infraction points.

Oh this rule.

If you've been to any automotive forum, this is a very mild critique. I clearly stated that I did not want to offend and that it is your car so as long as it makes you happy, that's all that matters.

I also followed up my critique with this statement - "Outside of those two critiques, a very nice car, indeed."

You are posting on an international forum in the general topics section. I think a little less sensitivity is in order.

Cheers,

FLi

I think they look very nice. Have seen a few coupes on the road (impressed) and read the review on the vert in Automobile (or one of the other US mags) this month. Nice selection.

Well, I visit a lot of auto forums too and when it comes to UNSOLICITED negative opining on someone's wheel selection it falls into the category of bad manners.

It's like approaching a stranger and after starting when the caveat of "Take no offense" saying "Your girlfriend has an ugly face, but I must admit she has a nice body."

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you.

By posting in a public forum, isn't one inherently soliciting feedback/opinions?? Whether negative or positive?

To the Mods - I'll let it go. No more off topic posts from me in this thread.

To the OP - Regardless of my personal opinions, you have a nice ride there. Enjoy!

Fli Gli , you are new member here and I thought it would be nice to point you to the forum rules which I maybe thought you hadn't read.

Let me explain something, keep in mind English is a third language to me, hope I can get my thoughts over correctly.

I am far from sensitive and frequent car forums too but I do not even bother posting pictures of my car there as I know for a fact it will end in knocking the car or/and wheels down. I find car forums in general are made of people who find it is necessary to complain about everything. (design of a new car, lack of performance of a new car, options, price , etc.) I was an active member of one of the biggest English written Porsche forums but just couldn't take all the negative anymore.

These forums and its core members are TOTALY different and here one is polite and friendly like most people would be in real live. I would never dream of speaking the way you spoke to me if somebody showed me his new ride (or anything else for that matter). If he would specifically have asked me my thoughts I would not even use words like 'floats your boat' and 'rock your world'. In this case I am not looking for negative feedback, I am like a little boy who is extatic with his new toy and wants to share it with friends on the forum. Nothing more, nothing less.

I have no problem you (and others) not liking the car or wheels. Really not.
But please let me be happy with what I like , okay ?

Well said! I am very thankful for you sharing pictures of your car. I saw one on the road today (of course, flying by me ), and it looked gorgeous!
