Rolex Submariner 1680

Happy Sunday everyone!

Was hoping to get others' take on this 1680 that I've been offered in trade for an Omega of mine. While I've owned a handful of modern Rolex's over the years, I've never really dabbled in vintage. The current owner is stating the following regarding his 1680:

"I have a 1680 from 1977.
Legitimate collector grade. All original minus the crown tube which was replaced during service with a 702 to match the crown.
VB clasp code.
Dial and hands are mint."

My watch that I'm considering trading is an Omega Aqua Terra 18k Yellow Gold case and bracelet.

Thanks in advance for any advice/input!
