16610 Bezel question
Hi, I know this is probably a really annoying question. I have searched high and low and I cannot seem to find a PIP that looks like this on any bezel insert.
Can anyone advise if the insert or the bezel raise any red flags, looks strange to me. EDIT: it’s not allowing me to directly reply; the bezel PIP is smooth on the edges and not stamped like the genuine PIP. Which raises questions about the auth of the bezel and possibly more. |

i don't believe it's a genuine pearl, it might be dropped and changed with an aftermarket one. can't say much about the rest of it.

Can you post more pictures of the watch itself?

Not real. Factory pip has a raised flat ring. This is not close to factory dimensions

Definitely not an OEM pip but that's not necessarily a big deal. Bezel insert looks ok. Keep in mind there are a whole lot of Rolex owners out there who don't really care about OEM Rolex parts. Bezel pip gets knocked out or falls out they buy one on ebay and super glue it in.

When in doubt, get a new OEM insert.

Why even worry about genuine inserts are only around $75 direct from Rolex, whats the most important is a genuine watch and not a $75 insert.

Aftermarket insert.
You have an aftermarket/fake crystal too. I’d change them both. |

In the real world all the pip is a blob of lume paint covered with a sapphire dome and now they are replaceable, but a complete insert is only around $75 or less.

Right, so that is kind of my suspicion. I noticed the markers on the bezel are a little long ( meaning they extended from end to end and have sharp corners)
Mainly I am posting to see if anyone sees any other red flags. The movement/case/band are genuine. My items in question are now: bezel/dial/hands/crystal Bezel: length of markers, sharp edges on markers Dial: V looks strange at base ( not sure if resolution will pick it up) Crown center prong top just below peak looks strange. Hands: Lume cut out looks like it’s shorter than genuine ( note distance of cutout, tip of hour hand small, Mercedes looks thin, base of hour looks short, same for minute ) I am trying to post a better pic of the without the glare on the crystal. |

Fingers crossed on the resolution on this one. Note on the dial- center crown middle prong top before the peak looks a little strange but it could be just the angle of the picture. Mainly at this point I’m only questioning - dial/hands/bezel/crystal Thank you all so much for the help with this! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hopefully this will help-
There is a genuine 16610 t25 on the right and the watch in question is on the left of the attached pic. Thank you everyone for the help with this! |

As the dial is “Swiss -<25” which indicates a circa 1999 or earlier 16610, then I’d expect an original bezel insert to have a “flat four” plus a tritium pip.
This insert has neither — so it’s reasonable to think it is a replacement, and based on the other concerns, an after market/non-OEM insert. |
