Anyone have a DayDate36 ref 128238 green dial?

Curious how it looks in real life as I was thinking of possibly trading my rose gold DD40 olive green dial for if as I much prefer 36 size now whereas I prefered larger sizes years ago when I got it

It looks amazing in person. My local AD has one in the case.

IMO not better than the rose olive but a very unique dial.

Same here. Have some regrets about the rose dd40. Should have bought the rose dd36 instead.

I contacted my Rolex guy (not AD) he said this YG green dial 36 is fetching for 48-50k right now meanwhile my DD40 Olive best I can get is about 40-42k if I was to sell it (2016 got it the year it came out)

Agreed! I got the DD40 in 2016 at that time I preferred bigger sizes. Last year I got myself the DJ36 palm dial and fell in love with the proportions of the 36.

I would trade my DD40 for a DD36 but I have a gut feeling this Olive dial might get discontinued in 1-2 years time which would make the value go up. Sheesh, shoulda sold it a year and a half ago when the market price was 90k for it

90k for a DD is insane! Haha I would’ve offloaded at that price and then just circled back at a later date when the market cooled.

It’s an awesome watch though!

I have the RG DD Olive as well and it is my favorite but I do wish it came in 36mm with the Olive dial

Is it me or do green dials sell for more then other dials of the DD’s? Seems like the most popular dial color

I think making that trade would be a mistake. The 36 is quite petite, and this dial isn't all that amazing in person IMO.

In the last year Ive fallen in love with smaller watches after I got a datejust 36 so it is definitely not petite

Who is this guy because I think he is full of crap with all due respect. If you tried to sell him a 36 Green Ombre my guess is he would offer under list or pass. I prefer the 36 DDs but unfortunately a majority of the dials are more on the feminine side and 36 size much harder to sell than the DD40. I would wait and see what dials come out in 2024 if you are in no rush. The 36mm classic size is perfect but all the desirable dials for Men are made in 40mm. (RG Olive, WG Olive, Onyx, Green with Romans)

I agree about waiting for 2024. Is 36 harder to sell because smaller sizes are still
not back in style?

As for who the guy is hes the one who got me my palm dial DJ and my girlfriends sunburst Oyster Perpetual

Why are there so limited amount of dials for daydates of both sizes? I dont get why Rolex cant have like 10-15 dial options

I literally just asked for this model, they have it available for 47.4k USD - too much for what it is so i passed. Plus it really gives more of a feminine vibe.
