Next gen Sub wish list

You get to design the next generation of SUB's. What does it look like?

Here, I'll start: 16610 proportions, ceramic bezel, AR coating, solid link bracelet, shortened glide lock clasp with recessed crown on the body of the clasp and a lucky crown stem.

I think it’s perfect now. They should just focus on gaining even further accuracy in the movement

Keep the appearance but find a way to make the watch and bracelet more scratch resistant.

Afraid the 904L SS that Roex uses now called Oystersteel but its exactly the same 904L, although a little more acid resistant than the watch industry norm 316L,but 904L will show scratches more easily.

That would be the perfect sub! I would add chamfers/ bevels and V brushing on lugs from 4/5 digits

Yes to scratch resistance! Wouldn't want a coating over the 904L stainless steel but maybe a composition of stainless that would allow for hardening.

I'd like to see a red hulk made in WG for new gen sub. It'd be on the list for that

I'd like a smaller and lighter version. Maybe a 16610LV with ceramic bezel, modern bracelet and shorter clasp.

Love it! Green bezel, Maxi dial and hands to give it that fuller look.

Hmm, I'd go with:
- 16610 dimensions
- solid link bracelet like 97200 (still 20mm)
- slightly smaller (shorter) glidelock
- AR coating
- ceramic bezel
- bullet proof 32xx series movement
- maxi dial and hands (like the 16610LV)
- better scratch resistance

I’d keep it just as is with a slightly smaller clasp.

I’d also remove the two lower lines of text.

Scratch resistance @ +3 and counting

Shorter glide lock @ +3 and counting

How about the recessed crown? Better long haul appearance...

I have it say it’s perfect and thankfully they won’t be changing anything for years.

I'll have to steal a sports maxim.

That's what I want, a boat load made to increase availability.

Tungsten carbide is very scratch resistant and less dense than gold. Not sure if any watch cases have ever been made of the material, though.

Brush the sides of the bracelet, like the 93150.

Red Submariner text.

Add chamfers.

Slightly elevated crystal, like a top hat.

With today's mainly pampered watches extra scratch resistance would be far down my list of importance.Should have seen my 16600 SD after 5 years working as a real tool watch underwater but all scratches easily rectified at normal RSC service.

Add a bevel between sides and top surfaces like on older references and the new titanium Yachtmaster.

Everything else is pretty much perfect.

For a truly modern Sub I really don't think they should change much or anything. I'm a big fan of my 126610 and it really addressed all my issues with the 11xxxx series. Chamfers might be nice but would need to see it in the context of an otherwise modern Sub to be sure it still works.

Now, if they wanted to do a more classic/vintage vibe version I'd take chamfers on the case, an aluminum bezel, matte dial, and lug holes....but keep modern bracelet w/ Glidelock. But I don't think they would ever do that.

They really just need to make sure they have any issues with the 32xx movement addressed. As long as my 126610 never runs into problems then I have zero complaints with it.

Matte dial and bezel. The bezel in matter or satin was done by LAWW and it looked quite good.
