Nice 16610 E serial for under 3K!

Am I missing something or is this a good deal?

I just sold a 1991 Submariner 16610 here on the forum for $3200, which was complete to include the warranty paper. The watch was immaculate and was listed here for a couple months before it sold. I guess that we give you something to judge this one by.

Hi gentlemen -
My name is Don and I am the seller of the 16610 E. I had forgotten that I am a member here until this thread was pointed out to me by the buyer and I successfully logged in. I spend most of my time on VRF and a little on TimeZone. I just spoke with Dennis (Blue Lantern) on the phone about the transaction. Thank you Dennis for the deal. Also I really appreciate the kind words Michael. Just wanted to introduce myself.
Thank you,
Don

Sold for $2950 plus ebay fees and paypal fees, so he probably netted around $2600.

He Probably would have sold it for that if you had emailed him...

off the other forum. He's one of the "good guys".

Yeah, I know I probably could've paid a little less if I made an offer on the other forum, but I didn't come across this thread until the eBay bids were already up to $2,600. Also, this is my first "big" watch purchase online, so I really felt comfortable having the protection of eBay/PayPal/my credit cards.

The seller (Don) called me as soon as I bought it and I found that he's a great guy. I've been a little skittish the past month or so as I've been watching for a deal on these forums and a few others, and he really turned this into an incredibly positive experience.

I also have to thank you guys for pointing out this sale!

i would have done the same thing if I were...

in your shoes. Buyer protection on your first purchase is very comforting. The bandits are out in full force this month. Guy tried to scam me on a Daytona. Thank God for Paypal and buyer protection. With ebay purchases anyway.
