Suffolk, UK Watch afficianado
Hi,
I have a number of watches from a 1940s Avia, issue CWC G10, 1960 Tudor Rolex, a franken 1963 Tudor with a 14270 dial and a 1978 GMT I which was brought for me in 1981 from Watches Of Switzerland in Sept 1981 and which was until a couple of years ago my daily wearer other than when working in countries that were interesting. When i got the watch it cost my parents £350. Watches weren't the thing they later became & few people remarked at what was for the time a big watch. I've no idea of the value of the watch but only that it is too expensive to risk on a daily basis. Plus i prefer 35mm plainer black dial watches these days. Glad to be aboard & learn more. Every day should be a schoolday no matter your age ! |

I have a 1963 Tudor (birth year) with an Explorer dial. The stem has become detached & it needs a service and & i have another Tudor (1960) needs a service, new seal (it has them ?) and the crown needs sorting as it doesn't screw down far enough IMHumbleO.
If anyone in the UK can recommend a repairer who could do the above work, please let me know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Is there a definitive website that has all the different marques of the older Tudors ? Seems they made more short-run models than semi permanent ones !
