Help decide - Rolex Deepsea D-Blue vs Zenith vs Hublot

Hello - Looking to purchase a watch to add to collection. Looking for something "interesting". Have narrowed down to 3 watches below. I know they are not directly comparable but would like to get a sense of what folks here think of three watches below? Cheers!!

Of these, the Zenith. Nothing at all interesting about the DS. Nice enough watch, just not interesting or intriguing.

Had the JC Deepsea, let it go as just didn’t have the staying power like some other Rolex models for me. If looking at Hublot, then Meca 10 is the one to check out if you have not already.

I would second tedo's suggestion of the Meca 10. Saw one in person a week ago at the Hublot Boutique in the Crystals (Las Vegas) and it is really a sight to behold. The amount of the depth this piece has when looking through the skeleton movement is mesmerizing.

The Rolex hands down. All are cool watches but look at the resale values and good luck on trying to find someone who wants a Zenith or a Hublot without a huge discount.

Zenith, Rolex, Hublot in that order.

That said, these are entirely different watches.

I actually went to look at Hublot this past weekend. It was the first time I saw them and tried them on in person and I walked away impressed. This is the model that I really liked: Big Bang Unico in titanium, 42mm

This led me to look at other options once I came home and now I have my sights on these:
Unico integrated in Ceramic Indigo

Unico Titanium Blue ceramic

Unico Blue Magic

Meca 10, as a previous member mentioned is another great option, with a really nice movement. But it's too big for my tastes.

I would never by a Hublot new as they seem to take a 40-50% hit right away...so I am going to wait for the right one to come along. I know Hublot gets a lot of hate and rightly so in many cases. But they seems to be exceptionally made, stand out from the crowd, and they push the envelope in design and materials.

Of the three listed, I like the Deepsea the most. But if you are looking for something "interesting", I think the other two would be better.

Realize this is TRF, yet have many, many brands.

Prefer this 007, but still the Hublot Meca-10 overall

If you’re buying it for the resale value I would get the DS. If you’re buying something to enjoy and be remotely interesting I would get the zenith…. Easily the best movement of the three.

Who said he couldn't get the Zenith himself with a huge discount?

If it's just for value holding, he'd be better off not getting any watch, period. The Rolex is a dime in a dozen. The Zenith is something that no Rolex is.

And the Hublot the most innovative and fun!

Look at the Omega Ultra Deep too. That's the only watch I'd consider in lieu of the Rolex DSSD. You can see the Omega at Shreve Crump & Low on Newbury St., right across from the Rolex boutique and the Hublot boutique.

The 75 year anniversary Omega Deepsea is way more interesting than the Rolex counterpart.

How big is your wrist? I have an 8” wrist so for me the Deepsea fits great (still big and relatively thick though). If you have a smaller wrist you may find the Zenith more appealing. I believe it’s a 41mm, whereas the D-Blue is a 44mm.

The D-blue is an amazing dial, and obviously being a Rolex it’ll be more recognized by other people as a high end watch (can be a plus or a minus depending on your personal preferences.

If not considering resale value or the “flex” part of having a Rolex vs. an Omega, this is 1,000% correct.

I had a chance to try on an UltraDeep in Vegas a month ago and compare it side to side with my Deepsea. Also got to see close up images of the 75th anniversary dial with the black light Easter egg and everything. Would buy one in a heartbeat if my funds allowed for it. The bracelet is really nice and it feels well balanced.

if you've got a rolex already and you're interested in something more interesting, I 100% recommend choosing zenith or hublot. I've got a pair of hublots (unico titanium/ceramic and a spirit of big bang in yellow gold) and they get more compliments and comments than all of the other watches in my collection combined. I've had a chance to look at a few zeniths in-person and they're great too — certainly more distinctive than a deepsea.

The Deep Sea Deep Blue is one of the most impressive watches I own, both visually and on the wrist…this is the first gen I acquired in 2015 but I’m sure they have improved it further…I feel the same way about my Speedmaster which I have owned since the early 90s.

Second this notion!
I have the newest JC and love it but will acquire the Ultra Deep 75th at some point.
