GMT Master II 116710LN manufacture date.

Hi everyone!

I have a GMT Master II 116710LN but the serial number under the glass says it’s a 2005 yet the 116710LN was introduced in 2007.

Bought from a reputable dealer in 2017, is the mismatch between the date explainable/possible?

First is it a single letter plus 6 numbers or is it a serial that has a total of 8 digits a mixture of letters and numbers.
