See 12 Series Daytonas At ADs …
And greys, including the Platona, Le Mans, and OF models.
Expected to see the Stainless Steel references by end of October, but here we are without one. Any credible update on when the Stainless Steel models will arrive? I suspect it’s a matter of days, not weeks. |

They’re on Moda. First SS is an auction that I think ends later tonight.
I’ve already seen the PM models selling with barely any premium beyond MSRP+tax…even the “LeMans Jr”. Anything above $50k looks like it’s sitting. If it’s not sold in 24 hours on Moda, the price is wrong. The OFs seem to be around $40k which is certainly a tangible premium, but I’m sure they’ll be headed lower. I love this new world, although the top SS models are always going to be 2x retail or more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not going to lie, surprised that a single TRF member has yet to get the call on the new 126500.
Please correct if I am mistaken about this! Any updated word on when these are hitting U.S. ADs? |

I have seen a few in German forums the last week. Sure that there was no 126500 here yet?

Was able to try on the SS at the AD and was disappointed on how it looked.
I was able to compare 11 series to 12 and here are some of my thoughts: Case on the 11 series is perfect The 12 has this 'maxi' case that just doesn't work on the Daytona. Dial on the 12 is really nice Bezel ring was okay. Had no issues with it If you never seen the 11 series before, then 12 is awesome. But if you have, then you just have that gut feeling this new iteration is off Rolex needs to keep the dial of the 12 series and put in the 11 series case. That would be a great looking watch Hopefully they don't wait 10 years to fix it, kinda like how they waited that long to update the Sub |

I prefer the 11 series as well. Hoping my AD will find some NOS that no one wants and gives me a call. LoL

They are simply bringing the case from the PM to the SS, no? I haven't heard anyone complaining about the case on the PM models.

Ablogtowatch has a great breakdown. I agree with their assessment, preferring the more refined look of the 116500. Adds to the appeal - a design the is purposeful and simply works to improve its versatility (dressing it up, or down). |

I saw a video that says the SS pieces would increase in size and the PM would be reduced in size to make them the same across the reference. I still prefer the 11 series dials and non ring around the ceramics. Only one in 10000 will ever get the call anyway.

I don't like the Daytona redesign especially on the white dial. If there was no older 116500 Daytona then the new design would be ok, but not if you compare the new Daytona with the beautiful and well balanced design of the older Panda. The only thing I like is the bigger size.

I do think think these will soon be many. The demand, as usual, will just far exceed supply. Thanks again for sharing, and wear in good health. |

Visited a few ADs this weekend, no new Daytonas in yet - they got a shipment in Oct/Nov and are not expecting much until the New Year. Really excited to see the new symmetrical cases on the SS and YG versions.

saw one at my AD, like the more symmetric lugs and the size better, but overall it is incremental, but a nice improvement

They are definitely starting to come out but not many. Each AD probably has 2-3. Those 2-3 go to the top 2-3 customers first. So they’ll start to filter down from there every month. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I doubt ADs will see these every month. I think it is maybe one of each per quarter. It is why they trade so much above retail on the used market. There aren't very many of them rolling out of ADs.
