Position for watch when not wearing it

Is there a generally accepted position to put your watch in when you're not wearing it? Any wisdom will be appreciated. Thanks!

Not really, except laying it on its back may cause the clasp to scratch the case even though that is likely the most friction free position overall.

Just put the watch to watch box and you will be fine

In a safe place that it won't get damaged. On a desk top, could be on the shelving...

I generally affix mine to the ceiling fan over our bed. I turn it on low (I'm not a pro baseball player), but it gives me a fun game to play when I wake up in the morning... Kinda like one of those cash-grab boxes in casinos...

No. Whatever you like is fine.

Try different positions according to how you wish to 'regulate' it. This card may or may not work for _your_ watch, but certainly time keeping will vary per position.

My daily wearer is an airking I just leave it on the side without worry. The thing is built like a tank and takes all the wear I throw at it.
It can look after itselfs when I’m not wearing it.

3235 movememt: dial up. Brings accuracy up to 0 s/d in my case.
3135 mvnt: 9 up. Slows down to +1.5 s/d.

If it’s not in the box, for me at least sort of wherever it lands. Not that I toss it or anything weird, but usually just set it on the bedside table, or at times other random objects if I needed to remove it while working on something.

Generally just not trying to place it on one of the watches polished surfaces, however with the Datejust and Milgauss, that is about impossible

Modern Rolex post 2000-2004 makes little to no difference.

Other makes, crown down to slow down, crown up to speed up.

32XX movement most accurate position when not being worn is whatever position the RSC watchmaker left it in while doing warranty work

I always leave my watches face down.

I figure it makes the most the sense, as the heaviest part of the watch rests solidly and so as not to scratch up the caseback.

Hi. When did you receive this advice sheet?

I have not seen one before. I have had watches serviced by Rolex for many years. I just collected a couple of watches from service with the RSC in Los Angeles last week.
