Incoming….Explorer II

Just picked this up this week. Always wanted one of these and I picked the 216570 because I like the “phantom” hand set. I get why the people that own these rave on them. Just a cool piece. It wears well too. Bigger than my sub but feels great on wrist and more comfortable imo. Just a sturdy no non sense piece.

I love this watch and own one myself.

However, I have to say that I wish it came with a Triplock instead of the Twinlock crown. seeing as how it's advertised as a rugged, tool watch.

Never understood the logic of putting a Triplock on the GMT-Master II instead.

Phantom hands really make this one unique. I really enjoy the models that you can wear knowing you won’t typically run into anyone else wearing one. I love my new sub, but I also hate that they are everywhere. I certainly get more comments from real watch guys when wearing the exp II.

That is something that is cool about it as well. It does not scream Rolex and goes under the radar, but those that know, know.

Mine rarely leaves my wrist. Perfectly understated (for a Rolex)
