New Arrival :-)

It's the new Sideral. I had been eyeballing it on Tissot's web site, so commuting home from the office today I stopped into a local jeweler's shop that's a popular family business and deals Tissot. It was by far my quickest decision ever on a watch purchase. I might have been there five minutes before I took the Visa card from my pocket :-)

Nice proportions, well balanced on the wrist, and super comfy fit!

Thanks for viewing. Sorry for the sorta blah photo on this classically gray Great Lakes afternoon...

The more I look at it, the more I think it has a hint of Omega Geneve Dynamics from the 1970’s. Which isn’t a bad thing as Tissot is a relative of Omega. Who knows Tissot might be starting to draw on Omega’s back catalogue the way that Tudor do with Rolex’s!

Thank you. It's actually from the Tissot back catalogue. Here's a shot of the '70s original (left) and reissue that I swiped from Fratello's review. Back then the case was made from fiberglass! The new one is made from forged carbon

The reissue comes in yellow, blue or red. I was leaning red because the dial is a bit more low-key, but when I handled the blue it was a no-brainer.

Wow, I’ve never seen that watch before from the 70’s. Just read the Fratello article. They really are a lot of watch for the money.
