Anybody else notice...
the asymmetry of Pateks being sold in the For Sale forum for $40,000 to $70,000, with only iPhone photos attached? At best, it's slightly amusing, at worst it seems pretty dubious.
Any legitimate excuse for a seller of expensive watches to not at least use the Macro function on a crappy point and shoot camera? It's like trying to sell a million dollar house, but leaving dirty underwear strewn during the Open House. |

You do realize the guy listing those PPs is the same one who sold Steve (Lol-x) his vintage Explorer II right? The guy is totally legit.

The guy you are referring to is John E. Brozek, publisher of "The Rolex Report."

The seller that the OP is referring to is completely legitimate and one of the few true rolex experts, IMO.

I have this really great watch to sell, it's usually $75,000, but I've got it available for only $70,000. Here's a really grainy photo of it on a camera that happened to come with my phone. Call with any questions! |

I see your point however - for me - If I knew I was buying a watch from John - I would buy it from him simply on his description. I wouldn't even need a photo.
