Everose Gold Sub?

Given that both the Daytona and GMT lines have Everose options, why not bring out some for the Submariner line? Pair it with a burgundy bezel reminiscent of the original GMT Bakelite, I might seriously consider that!

The sub is a diver watch, Rose gold would be too flashy for its purpose

I find rose gold more subdued than yellow gold. Purpose is darn near out the window anyway, we’re talking luxury goods — 18k gold in a tool watch!

It would be? Yellow gold is pretty flashy in its own right, no?

Everose with a deep burgundy wouldn’t be flashier than a Rolesor blue.

Yellow gold and a bright blue dial really adhere to those guidelines.

I wonder if the reason they wouldn't do it is the tendency of rose gold to change colour over time, especially with exposure to things like water. I know the term everose is there for a reason but I am not sure rose gold and water go together.

Rolex alloys their yellow gold with a small amount of platinum, along with the required copper, which permanently stabilizes the color; hence the name Everose.

Anything goes it seems with the Submariner date, and I’m sure people would buy it.

Please leave the Submariner alone … available in one iteration only … in Stainless Steel.

Thanks for the tutorial. That’s why I said the name is there for a reason. Anyway let’s debate in 20 years if it tarnishes or not. The alloy has only been out for less than 10 years.

I think a no date bluesy, or no date bluesy but with green instead of blue would be hella nice.

What about it? It’s not their flagship dive watch. It’s a watch conceived for being on the boat not under it.

I think doing a rose gold sub is a no brainer for Rolex. Surprised it has not already been released.

You can look to the everose gold yachtmaster line which is essentially a sub.

It’s rose gold. It’s made to be in a water environment. Your point is invalid.

IMO would look horrible. Leave full rose gold watches to women.
