FS: Vintage 1971 Red Submariner 1680 w/ Additional Bracelet
FS: Vintage Original 1971 Red Submariner.
I purchased this 1680 Red Sub in ~1995. At the time it wore what I believe was its original 9315/380 bracelet and I later purchased a new 93150/501B bracelet for it. The SN is 3084xxx putting it I believe around a ~1971 manufacture and I believe the watch to be almost all original to include it's Mark 4 dial. The markers and hands have a consistent, beautiful patina. I believe the bezel to be a service item. I sent the watch to the RSC in NY in February, 2005 for a complete service and asked that the dial and hands not be changed as to retain that matching patina. When I received it back, I wore the watch a few days a week for a few months before putting it in my bank's safe deposit box later in 2005 where it sat until last week. About once a year when at the bank, I removed the watch from the vault, wound it and put it back... last week is the first it's seen the light of day in 19 years.... Please forgive the long strands of lint fiber in some pics. I am not an expert be any means but moving away from my small Vintage collection. Included is the RSC service box and order, as well as the original 9315/380 folded bracelet as well as the genuine 93150/501B bracelet I purchased for it around the year 2000. That 93150 bracelet was on the watch when the RSC serviced the watch. I also have what I believe is an additional perfect, NOS 11015-5401 high/flat crystal in the original package. $23,500 via wire within the U.S. plus actual CONUS shipping.
