1970 datejust 1601 questions
Hello all. I’m new here:)
I got a 1970 dj 1601. I was told I cannot add links to vintage watches. True? I need a couple of links. Also, where can I find links. Thanks |

Depending on type of bracelet if it has screw type links then yes you can add links.

It does not have the screw links. It’s the folded over steel

Any bracelet can usually have links added or subtracted. On folded Oysters you simply slightly unfold the centers to slip out or add the new link. The usual problem is to find the link, but there are some online typically. You can also try one of the several good bracelet specialists.

It also has a service pie pan dial put on by the previous owner and when I had RSC Dallas service it in 2018 they put an 18K crown on it as the original 14K one would no longer maintain during a pressure test. |
