off to Barbados this coming saturday (fingers crossed)

looks like it is still travel season. Loads of people still travelling.

The wife and I will hopefully be heading out to Barbados for our belated honeymoon this coming Saturday for a week of R&R, can't wait - the only thing will stop us from doing that will ne the people at the UK HomeOffice not releasing our passports before departure.

Wish us luck.

Well I wish you all the luck in the world regards your passports. I have been twice and its a place you fall in love with immediately, the people are fantastic just like the place itself.

Try to visit Crane beach and if they are having one whilst you are there go to a 'Crop Over' where the locals celebrate with lots of music, and rum!

The only down side is in Bridgetown the capital. There are loads of fabulous jewelery shops that can play havoc with your credit card..LOL!

Sorry it was a few years ago and I cant remember if Rolex watches were sold there. I'm sure someone on the forum will know better than me.

You get a lot of millionaires in Barbados so it may not be the best place for buying a watch as far as the price goes, plus its a long way to go back if something is not quite right. I know you have the international warranty but theres nothing better in my opinion than having a hands on approach more locally with a AD thats not the other side of the world, if you see what I mean....

If you are after Rolex then head down to Broad Street in Bridgetown. It's the jewelery district and quite a few shops stock Rolex. Have fun.

Good luck traveling !!
I thought the airports would be busy this time of year, but right now, it's the opposite !
At this moment, I'm in Bradly airport in Hartford waiting for my connecting flight going to ATL, and this airport is dead. Going through the security checkpoint was a breeze, and now it's just waiting for the flight that's the killer.
Hope you have fun !
