Sd43-126600
Recently purchased a new 50th Anniversary SD43...somehow, I already have a microchip on my lug...has this happened to anyone else? Bought it to wear daily, but didn't want a chip 2 months in

Anything you wear on your wrist is going to get dinged, even if you just wear it at your desk.
the 126600 is a beauty, congrats and enjoy wearing it |

Yep, I have an SD43 as well, daily wear, and it's got a nasty scratch on the clasp.
Just like any car, if daily driven (or worn, LOL) it's gonna get dinged To be blunt - get over it, LOL! |

As the others have mentioned unfortunately these things happen when worn regularly but great to see it getting lots of wrist time

Mine hardly leaves my wrist and it's full of scratches, doesn't bother me one bit. Best sports watch Rolex makes IMHO

If beating up the Rolex is too painful then Omega at half price is another option to take the edge off.

It can happen the first day of ownership or never. Just roll with it and enjoy.

ding
You said "If beating up the Rolex is too painful then Omega at half price is another option to take the edge off."
My point is that not all Omegas are half the price of an SD50. Only the basic SM300 and basic PO's are; while many others like the PloProf are more expensive than the Rolex. But, I agree that you should not sweat the dings and scratches; they will happen to any watch. Putting a ding in a $6000 watch does not bother me any less than doing it to a $13000 watch. Although, I always own a G-Shock for the working dives and really crappy work because beating it up does not bother me in the least. |

A ding or scratch, cut, etc., means the watch is officially customized for you.

Tried one on yesterday, a lot lighter than my Deep Sea. With 8.25" wrists, I thought it was too small. Probably isn't, but that's just me.

Don’t worry about it, it’s not some collector watch or anything.

It’s a bummer but it happens and now you’re past it. Wear it with joy.
