Anyone have suggestions here? I've owned or handled all of these and also own multiple watches >$25k. These are special within the sub 10k realm in my opinion. Anyone else have favorites that "perform above" their below 10k retail?

Cartier De Santos hits above its weight class for sure. The engineering that went into the bracelet is like nothing else out there. Great history too. First wrist watch, first pilots watch, damn good looking on the wrist.

Cartier Santos for me.

Elegant, versatile, beautiful and classic dial and font, screws everywhere make it stand out from every brand. Looks good with a blazer, or a black t shirt

1. Grand Seiko. Their hands in particular are finished better than some of my haute horology stuff.

2. Blancpain Bathyscape. The finishing is WTF awesome. Much thicker anglage than expected and quite clean too. It looks like it has less chatter/scratches than patek lol

If what you posted, Id probably take the Santos or the Speedmaster. I love the santos a lot

Pretty much everything that Nomos does. Amazing value for money. I still have a Tangente that started my collecting journey decades ago, as well as a Tetra I inherited.

And the only TAG Heuer I really liked (but unfortunately didn't buy as I just purchased another watch then), the 60th anniversary Carrera.

I am so impressed with the quality of these, albeit 20-25 years old (and bought together still well below the threshold currently), that GP are a brand I really would look at new when the time comes.
