Squeaky Submariner Bracelet

Bought from Watchbox in September of 23. Have washed the bracelet extensively. Watch has card date of February or March 2022 (don't have it in front of me). Every time I wash the squeak goes away for a day and then returns. I've read numerous posts the squeak is normal for new watches and then goes away, but mine I'm just noticing now.

How often do you wear the watch? That will have the biggest impact on squeak remediation.

Totally normal, embrace it and enjoy it. You'll miss it once your watch is old.

I've had a squeeky deep sea. I think as you wear it, your skin oil will lubricate it and it shall become silent.

Sadly, the fun squeak will eventually go away. I say sadly because when you hear it, you know it's a new Rolex :)

I had the same bracelet "squeak" with my Explorer 39. Followed the advice of many on this and other forums...dish soap and warm water. I gently but thoroughly wash the bracelet once or twice a week with a small dab of dish soap, and the squeak has yet to return. (Just make sure the crown is securely screwed down before washing.)

Totally normal. Disappeared on my new Sub Date after 3 weeks or so. It just means yours is new as it can be.

I’ve noticed that after a good soak with WristClean (huge fan of their products) it does such a good job of getting rid of the oils that new oyster bracelet squeak comes back for a week or two. But like other said, should quiet after a few weeks of normal wear.

Normal. Wash with soap and it will temporarily go away. It will go away permanently with time, but soap tends to speed it up.

Maybe record it and make a sound clip , you know, in case you ever sell the watch. You’ll have the completely complete package, not just box, papers and tags.

Oh man, this just isn’t fair. I think I need to buy a new watch so I can enjoy the squeak. Haven’t heard it in a while.
