Inbound - Tudor Ranger

Gang -

This was a basically an impulse buy. Wanted another Rolex and was toying with the idea of an Explorer. I have a 126900 Air King and the watches appear too similar to justify the cost in my mind.

So last night, enjoying some watch porn, I stumbled across the NATO strap wearing Ranger and was smitten.

Explorerish, but just different enough to justify it. This will be my 3rd Tudor and I'm very excited to add this to the collection.

Should have it early next week.

Everyone have a great weekend!

It's a great piece: wears well and it looks quite utilitarian on the wrist. Wear in good health!

Bought a Tudor in Milan after very causally walking into the Tudor AD. I completely fell in love with the simple rugged yet retro tool watch style of the Ranger. Love the matt black dial and the hands. The red second hand is cool too. Slightly off white numbers and minute markers are great.

I love mine, especially on a NATO. It looks great on every strap except a bracelet IMO

The dial really reminds me of my previously owned Rolex 1016. Really nice watch.

I bought my Heritage Ranger on impulse (after a few glasses of Chianti) at an AD in Tuscany in 2014. Looks more like the original Explorers than the current Explorers do, IMO - especially with the straight endlinks.

I totally get why you’d pick this one up. I’m intrigued by it as well. And I also love the classic Explorer.

Bought mine on total impulse on a trip to Las Vegas. Wear it much more than I ever expected and absolutely think it is superior to the Explorer in every way except resale value :)

I bought my heritage ranger & my Black Bay GMT for 5k grey market, so $2k for the ranger, but you don’t buy Tudor’s as an investment, you buy them to wear them.

Don't ever sell it, and it's a totally moot point!
