Summer Project is Finally Finished.

Hi everyone, I thought I'd share some pics of my summer project with those that are interested in adding a hot tub to their list of things to do this fall or next year. Lori and I have been wanting to buy a hot tub for years, and finally took the plunge this past March. It would be the beginning of August before everything was completed and the tub was functional. We learned several lessons quickly about the project, the first being that the hot tub purchase was just the "tip of the iceberg" when it came to expenses regarding the project.

We originally intended to install a cement pad for the tub, a pergola, an enclosed TV, and a walkway to the tub from the patio. One thing led to another, and before long, we had a flagstone walkway, a flagstone-covered pad, and an array of landscaping around the tub enclosed by flagstone brick and a new sprinkler system. In the end, it all worked out very nicely and a late night movie in the tub while working out the daily aches and pains from building everything was well worth the extra expenses. Here are a few pics of the project, with an ending photo of Lori soaking in the tub on a sultry Texas night as Diddo (our English Setter) watches and wishes.

You guessed right Pav, and won the prize...the missing beers. Yes, that is The Outlaw Josey Wales - one of the best westerns ever made.

The beers ended up in the belly's of the concrete contractors, carpenter, and landscaper. The general contractor, uh me, ended up with all the headaches.

Enjoy that hot tub, it will take the aches and pains out of all that work you've done.

Very nice! I wish I had known. I have a hot tub I would love to trade. If anyone within driving distance of SC wants a hot tub and has something interesting to trade (like a nice GMT), let me know!
