Manny Pacquiao accused of steroids??

Look who the source is....Mayweather Sr., the sore loser, who's most recent fighter was destroyed in 2 rounds after months of proclaiming himself the best trainer in the world. He cannot pay 1 compliment to the best p4p fighter in the world right now, and now he throws this out.

I really hope Pacquiao's team does some type of libel/slander lawsuit. An accusation like that can ruin a fighter's career. This was just thrown out of thin air with no basis, no backing. Sour grapes, cause he knows after Manny beats Cotto, his son is next on the hitlist.

He was also accussed of being a heavy gambler and drunk. I don't have the source at hand, but he did file a lawsuit against someone. It's on wikipedia under his name. I was searching a little about his next fight.

He used to be a party animal, Freddie Roach one time actually had to fly to the Philippines to drag him back for training, I think for the Morales rematch, or 3rd fight..he says the partying days are done, had a baby girl December of 08, so I would hope so.

I don't want to sterotype, but a lot of Filipinos do gamble-pool, cockfighting, cards, so I believe that. But juicing? Manny's key is his speed and I'm no roid expert, it bulks you up, but doesn't make you faster I've heard.

Edit: The lawsuit I read about was in the newst Ring issue-a Karaoke microphone manufaturer has been using his likeness, when he endorse a rival's karaoke microphone...don't know if that's the same suit you heard.

Gayweather Sr is an idiot. The lack of class he showed after the Hatton fight made me lose whatever little respect I had for him. His son is one of the best fighters in history, but his mouth is ruining it for his boy. At least Jr has the goods to back him up.

On a separate note, Edwin Valero is not going to be on the Pacquiao undercard!

Sr. is a crackhead. Plain and simple. The whole family is nuts, Jr included. Sr is the worst, Roger is a close 2nd, then Jr. At least Jeff, although lousy career and lousy career as a trainer seems to be sane.

That sucks, Valero is exciting, but because of the motorcycle accident/head injury, not too many people know about him in the U.S. At least Texas allows him to fight. He's like an enigma, this mysterious KO artist, 19 1st rd kos in a row, all wins by KO. I really wanna see the Rocky Juarez Chris John rematch, bu that's on the Mayweather undercard, which I'm NOT ordering.

I'm catching the Mayweather fight, but for JMM. Really one of the most underrated fighters around. People should look past his loss and draw against Pacquiao and recognize his skills. There's no shame in losing to Manny.

I dont think he's underrated, at least to boxing nerds like me...pretty much everywhere, if you don't count Floyd as #1, JMM is regarded almost universally as p4p #2.

His win over Casamayor, knock out of Juan Diaz, it's kind of what Manny did, jump up to unfamiliar weight classes and win not just a meaningless alphabet title, but recognized as the 'Man' at that weight class=the Ring belt. Manny did it with Hatton @ 140lb, JMM did it with Joel Casamayor @135. Now going up to 144 to fight Floyd, that's a tall order, but I hope he pulls it off and sets up the much anticipated rubber match with Pac, provided he gets past Cotto, which is another tall order. Although years ago Pac said 'that business is done'... But if JMM beats Floys, it's an obvious fight to make.

Everyone cries steroids. In my younger days I was an avid bodybuilder.

If you were bigger than them, you were on the juice. Period.
It didnt matter if you were only 190lbs at 10% bodyfat, which is easily attained naturally through proper diet, training and dedication. NOPE. You were on the juice cause they were only 140 or 170 and couldnt get over that fact.

I used to laugh and tell them, with my genetics, training and bone structure I would be sitting at 230-240 at 10% bodyfat if I was on juice, and believe me that extra weight when it is muscle is a massive difference for sure.

I doubt a 140lb guy in on the juice.

The 'reasoning' behind is it that he started at light flyweight (106lbs) and now fighting at welter, 147, though it's a catchweight fight of 145, but its basically wleterweight. Thin is, he was 16, a kid when he started, obviously growing. And the argument is that when he kept jumping weight classes, he puts on lean muscle and is always ripped. Sr. said he shakes his head which is a sign?? I don't believe anything that comes out of his mouth, but I hope they sue his ignorant a$$

I know exactly what you are saying. I'm into bodybuilding big time and I am 6'3 at 230. With my genetics and diet a lot of people think I take OJ. I just laugh and don't let it bother me.

Very good points. When someone is already is very good physical shape, and they pack on a lot of muscle fast, its not easy to do. They are already at their natural limit most times. BUT some people can put on muscle and stay ripped. For all we know the guy might run 10 miles a day.

Interesting to say the least.

The idiot, leather skinned crackhead won't stop. Something needs to be done. He's going on tv with these accusations. Any lawyers here? I'm sure there are. From what he said, is there grounds for a suit? Defamation, slander, libel? This guy makes my blood boil. Just cause Manny is on top and his son isn't. And...his 'Italian Stallion' Hatton, got crushed in 5:59 seconds. So much for being the best trainer in the world, and throwing barbs at Manny's trainer, Freddie 'the joke coach' Roach...Floyd Sr. is the BIGGEST joke around.

If he keeps it up, then Manny's name might be linked to roids...and all his phenomanal accomplishments will be marked with an asterisk...like Shane Mosley, John Ruiz, Roy Jones Jr., James Toney, and Antonio Margarito= for being caught loading his gloves/handwraps with a plaster of paris like substance, not juice

It depends...how much ring rust will Floyd have tomorrow night (tonight). He came in 2lbs over the 144lb catchweight, Marquez came in at 142, so I think Marquez gets some extra $.

I remember Pac had a similar contract with Morales, 1 lb over, like 100k, 2lbs over, like 500k, 3lbs or more, 1 million dollars, plus the right not to fight, something crazy like that.

Also depends how Pac looks against Cotto.

The smart money will be on Mayweather, but how many times has Manny shocked the world? Maybe Marquez can do it.

Floyd looks incredible as usual, Marquez looks a little soft around the middle

I just REALLY hope a lawsuit ensues and leather face will losr everything he owns? My first reaction was sour grapes cause the Hatton fight? Na, he couldn't care less if Ricky passed away tomorrow.

Now that he's back in good graces with his son and that's the fight the entire world wants to see, it's got be some negotiationg tactic. But the fact that he's saying it on tv, I read that will strengthen their case if they decide to pursue legal action. Which I really really really hope they do.

It's so easy to knock someone when their on top. He's the real 'joke coach'
