Birthday gift to myself!
Decided to reward myself with a new watch to celebrate my birthday. I suppose the birthday didn’t have much to do with it - just really wanted it!
It’s the 336938 Sky-Dweller with the “Intense White” dial. I really love it. It’s got tremendous wrist presence and is quite comfortable for a larger gold watch. The dial is more of a silvery pearlescent frosted white than the conventional enamel white on other Rolex models. It is really easily legible though and looks beautiful in the sun. I sold off a Day-Date 118238 and a SD43 in gold/stainless 126603 plus some cash ($12K) for the Sky-Dweller. The Day-Date in 36 was a lovely watch and the Sea-Dweller was also a cool watch, but I just didn’t wear them much. Made sense to let them go to get something I really like.
