Different Model wait times

"Is there a place where I can find out about how long people wait on average for a reference number, and whether they have a spending history or not? I know there is a place on Reddit; I'm wondering if this place is the same? In particular I am interested on average wait times for the 226570-01.

I’d say that’s like asking how long is a piece of string. If the process of allocation is random you can hardly put a time on it.
Buying from a grey circumnavigates all of this but at a price

Just ask several ADs that question, minus the spend part. Be honest. Tell them you just want this particular model, and how long until they can get you one. I was told perhaps 6 months for a regular Explorer 36

I have my name down at three AD's already, one store is a family owned the other two are larger ones with multiple locations.

The reference number I quoted is for the explorer II not the explorer I, does this change the wait time at all?

You should make monthly visits to the ADs to remind them you are still ready and willing to purchase the Explorer II.

I waited 3 years for an Exp II and got nothing so popped into another AD with no spend history and got one inside 2 weeks. There’s really no set time

I will share my experience - but as said above way too many variables to give absolutes.

8 Months Air King - additional $2000 non-watch purchases

No wait got lucky on a walk in - 36 DJ Blue Dial Smooth Bezel (wife)

11 Months SD43 - 3 months after the Air King - no other non-watch purchases

6 Month wait on a special order 36 DJ TT MOP Dial Diamond Markers (wife)

Since then have purchased about $10,000 in non-watch jewelry for my wife. Not playing the buy & hope game. My wife just likes jewelry and earlier in our marriage was not in a position to buy anything.

All Purchased between Feb, 2023 and December, 2023. Put first ask in July 2022.

Patiently waiting on a GMT II.

And this is exactly why "average wait time" is a useless thing to ask: Wait time varies from between:

• The time it takes for the sales manager to go to the safe and back to the desk where you are waiting. So approximately 3 minutes.

• Never, 'cause they aren't selling you one ever.

And anything in between.

Nope? The waiting time is between watches? I waited 1 year for the BLNR the rest is the waiting time.

If you really want the watch - just go buy it on the grey market - zero wait. Life is too short to wait. Currently the price premium on most of the watches is not that bad except for a few exceptions. Those being the Daytona, GMT, Skydweller, Ti Yachtmaster.
