First Rolex - DJ 41 Blue

Finally bought my first Rolex from an AD.
Not my first pick, obviously would love a professional watch but this was the best I could get offered.
What do you guys think of this as a first watch from the AD?

Huge congratulations, that's a beautiful watch! Enjoy it to the fullest!
Let me just ask why it would be "obvious" that you preferred a professional model. Not obvious to me at all.
Cheers
Marc

Thanks Marc.
Loving it so far!
The "obvious" part was due to the fact that the majority of people would love a professional watch. Well for myself that is the case. A GMT or Daytona would be my holy grail.

Congrats. You’ll learn to appreciate this model. Remember, buy what you like. Don’t follow the hype. It’s not about showing off.

Gorgeous!

A blue baton DJ was my first Rolex purchase as well (back when it was the DJ2).

Excellent watch. Congratulations!

DJ41 is a fantastic watch. Congratulations!

Speaking for myself I never really cared too much for a DJ until I found mine. Now it’s become one of my favorites I have owned. It’s classy and sportier than you may think. It’s a perfect all rounder.

Beautiful watch!

Love the blue DJ41. I added one (with jubilee and smooth bezel) AFTER buying a Daytona. It’s a fantastic watch.

Great watch! Pics don’t do it justice. So beautiful the way the light reflects off the jubilee and fluted bezel with the contrast of the blue dial. One of my favorite DJ configs!

That's a beautiful watch, and will work with most situations, casual or dressy. Very nice pickup.

By coincidence, I picked up this very same watch in Southern California yesterday while on travel visiting my wife's family. It is not my first Rolex, my original being a two line no date 14060M submariner gifted to me by my wife on the occasion of our 25th wedding anniversary 19 years ago. While providing a dress counterpoint to my tool watch Sub, it also means that I now have two Rolex watches to pass on to our two sons when I can no longer wear them. I think the DJ is a great watch. Congratulations and wear it in good health and good humor.

Congrats on yours, as well. It really is a beautiful watch. Your plan is the same as mine, only I have 4 kids. I will have 2 Datejusts, an OP and an Explorer. I just have to figure out who gets what..
