bracelet sizing - ridiculous question?

I have a Rolex 116719. 2 links removed right now. But selfishly want to add 1 more link in for more added weight as I love the heft! if my micro adjustment is at the first of three holes and decide to move it inward two notches (their are three micro adjustment slots), can I properly insert 1 link for same fit? thanks in advance

It should be about the same. From looking at pics of the clasp with the 3 micro adjustments, the space between the 1st and 3rd positions looks about the same as the length gained by adding one oyster bracelet link. I think you will be fine. To be sure, you could try to measure, before adding the link back to the bracelet.

i believe each of the holes is 3mm while a link is 10mm, so it won't be the same fit. would be a bit more loose, by a difference of about another hole

So moving it two notches would be 6mm change and a full link is 10mm, leaving 4mm difference? Do I have that right?

I don’t know the exact math, I just know that it would not work for me if I tried.

Not a ridiculous question, and yes, those numbers are correct. It will be ~4mm bigger than it is currently.

You will notice a 4% increase in heft?

Seems like a lot of effort for little result.

Yep, my math comes up with around 4mm looser, too.

You can try it, but for me, a 4mm looser fit would cancel out any benefits an extra link would give you in heft.

My thoughts as well.
