Well this is far outside COSC ratings. :( Brand new PAM 48 worn for ~2 weeks. Just decided to time it last night because it appeared to be losing time, and I was right.

So is first step have my AD demagnetize, and if that doesn't work, have the AD send it straight back to Panerai?

Really really stinks knowing I'll be withut my brand new watch for what -- weeks? Months?

I had an AD comment to me this weekend that lately when customers that own automatics complain of a slowdown, the first thing she tells them to do is take the watch off and give it a good winding and then check it in a week. Half the time it works and they don't have to send it in for service.

I have a Pam 50 (same thing with bracelet), that keeps great time.

But anyway, when I got my Yachtmaster back in January and started wearing it it was losing 13 sec/day. I took it to an AD after a few days and they checked and agreed that it was losing 13s/day.

Then I wore it for a few more weeks and re-checked and it was gaining 1 second/day. So if it's new, I'd suggest giving it more time to settle in--I know others don't believe in it, but that's my anecdote FWIW

Not bad ideas at all folks. Actually none of my other three Swiss mechanicals have "changed behavior" significantly over time, but I'll give this one a few weeks. I did wind it from fully discharged at one point, I can do that a few more times. I'll let ya'll know in a week or two if it seems to have settled in!

Its not the end of the world.My 104 was -40s/day out of the box.Had it regulated by Vendome,waited only four days and now its VERY accurate.

All the others run very accurate from new.

Overnight in face-up or face-down position also runs a bit faster tan crown-up or crown-down.

Well now this is bizarre, and totally unlike any of my other watches. Since yesterday at this time of day, it only appears to have lost another 6 or so seconds. I have just never seen anything close to this much variance one day to the next. I did wear the watch today, last night it was face up. Now I'm curious to see where to will be at tomorrow. Definitely going to go for a demagnetization this weekend, perhaps tomorrow evening.
