Explorer II Polar on Rubber B

Hello all! I ordered a black Rubber B with tang buckle for my Explorer II and have been wearing it for a week now. So far I love it!

Not only is it very comfortable on my wrist but it gives a great low-key summer vibe and lightens the overall weight which I like. I understand not everyone is a fan of rubber but I love the option to swap the bracelet and change things up.

I know there are lots of good rubber strap options out there but I personally have been very satisfied with Rubber B’s fit and quality. Picture attached

Rubber B makes great straps that fit perfectly, however after using it for about a week or two, I can't wait to switch back and put my bracelet back on. Does look good on your Exp 2 though.

Seriously considering adding one of these and leaving it on the strap. How do you find the weight balance? Does it fly on the wrist or does it still feel solid?

I agree the Rubber B is excellent. As it should be considering the price.

When and if I get my 226570, I’ll be adding an orange rubber strap either from Rubber B or Everest. My daughter’s high school team colors are orange, white and grey, so I’ll be excited to rock it to games.

I just wish Rolexes were a little easier to strap change. I have the Bergwhatever tool I use for my Tudors, but I will be a nervous wreck changing out bracelet and strap on a 10k watch.

I personally like the feel, as it is not top-heavy on my wrist at all and stays in place very nicely . Since the Exp II has a thinner profile and is relatively light it balances well IMO.

Yes it was difficult to choose the color! I may go back for white or orange at some point.

Strap changes can be nerve-racking but I tape off the lugs to prevent unwanted scratches.

How good is the fit on the curved end of the strap where it meets the case? Any gaps or wiggle? Any model numbers on the inside of the strap?

I would say the fit is very good. No gaps I can see, the band slides right up into the gap between the lugs. There is an ever so small amount of wiggle up and down but you won’t notice it unless you are intentionally moving it with your fingers.

The inside of the strap is branded with “Rubber B,” “Swiss Made,” and “M225.”

I personally prefer the look of the Exp. II on a green or olive canvas strap or the bracelet. Not sure why, but I think the rubber unluxurifies it too much.

Yes I’ve been thinking about trying a few different combos of straps. I’ve only used BluShark - any recommendations?

Very nice, but I can't help but think you have missed a trick by not putting it on a white rubber strap.

I think rubber cheapens this watch. I would stick with the original oyster bracelet

I’ve seen them when googling, but I honestly don’t have a great link to a source.

Looks great!!! Good choice with Rubber B.

I, like you, couldn't decide on which color to go with on my Bluesy. I thought blue would be a bit too much color so I went with a black Rubber B at first. After a while I thought the black was a too little boring said what the heck, and ordered the blue. I think it looks much better this way. I also put it on a deployant to make it easier to put on and take off.

Bottom line, I think either white or orange would be a killer color for your watch.

Thanks for the advice Dave I think I’ll get white in the near future! I’ve got the blue Rubber B on my Bluesy and I love it! Very cool with the deployant clasp!

You may be right but it feels great on the wrist and is waaay under the radar. I typically replace the bracelet once hot summer weather gives way to cooler fall temps.

I have an orange tempomat strap for My polar. It looks awesome. It feels great too, however I quickly missed the feel of the Oyster bracelet.

Unfortunately the strap haven’t any “holes” at the lug side, so it is a mess changing the straps because of no space to find the springbars. This results in me not changing the straps as I don’t want to scratch it all

It looks great on the black. I personally prefer mine on the orange as it really pops.

Not a RubberB, but may go down that route at some point -

Yes this is one of the gripes I have about the Oysterflex strap as well. The springbar cutouts on the Rubber B make strap changes easy.

Yes the orange definitely adds a pop of color and looks great! While black is a little boring at times, I love the versatility. However I definitely want to add white/orange to the lineup eventually!

It looks great on the Rubber B, Explorer II is versatile and can easily fit in to any of the strap.
