Corrosion?
Hi community I’ve been a long time lurker and I purchased a Rolex submariner 41 mm couple years ago and I’m in love with it and I wear it every day. Recently, I’ve been taking the watch to the beach and doing a lot of diving and just water activity and I started to notice That on the side has dirt that I can’t seem to get off and I was wondering if you guys have ever seen this and what do you think it is? I don’t know if it’s corrosion but I tried to wash it off and I can’t.

A picture would help a bit here. It's pretty unlikely it is corrosion.

There’s an app called Tapatalk. Once you download it, you can access Rolexforums by searching for "rolexforums" in the "My Groups" section where you would tap "Add" or "Add More." Once you're in Rolexforums in the app, sign in, find your thread, and post your photos without any sizing restrictions.

Obviously I can’t see your watch but after constantly using my 124060 in salt and pool water I noticed a dulled ‘pattern’ on the none crown side which could maybe be mistaken for a kind off corrosion.
A bit of a wash and rub with a soft cloth afterwards removed it after several goes. |

Did you buy your Rolex from an AD? Or used?
(I am sure you know what I am getting at here). |

Yes, I bought the watch brand new from an authorized dealer in 2022. I’m still trying to post a picture but I’m still having problems with it. Looks like I’m not very tech savvy. I’m gonna keep on trying and when I do you guys see it I don’t know if it’s micro dents or from the sand.
