Skydweller vs Pepsi

considering these 2 and having a hard time deciding.

Which one and why?

They're both fine watches if you've been offered both of them go with the Pepsi first the sky-dweller might be a little easier to pick up at a later date Pepsi seem to be in demand and hard to find whereas sky-dwellers are less in demand albeit the most complicated movement that Rolex makes and one of the most interesting in my opinion.

Both great. For me the BLRO is a more daily wear piece. My Sky D is blue face with jubilee, so it feels a bit more formal to me. Other watches in a collection will have an impact on that decision.

Both incredible, especially blue dial sky dweller.
You really can’t go wrong with either.

Just keep in mind sky dweller is a bit thicker and larger, so worth trying on.

Which do you like more? That’s the key question see if you can try them on and the one that feels right or as I was in told in the old days of collecting watches” buy the one that sings to you the most. Don’t buy the hype or nonsense I got my Pepsi within a couple of months and my wife got me a sky dweller within 4 months.

I have both and like them equally.
The sky dweller with the fluted bezel on the jubilee feels a little bit more special especially when the sun hits the dial and bezel. Sky dweller is also easier to read.
Apart from that I love both watches and have many variations of the GMT and two of the sky dweller.

The Pepsi is much more comfortable on the wrist, unless you have huge wrists

Aesthetically the Skydweller for me 100%. I find the BLRO very unspectacular IRL.

The Skydweller is a much bigger watch though, so your wrist size would be a factor in deciding.

I own both and would choose the Black or White Sky-Dweller on Jubilee. I like the looks and the complication. The BLRO on Jubilee is cool and I get it but I find the colors to be bold in a good way but not an everyday way for me.

I’d go with the GMT. It’s one of my favorite watches, and the Skydweller is not.

Pepsi for me. Sky Dweller a bit too large and I am not thrilled with the dial layout.

Let's see, a quick set GMT with an annual calendar and high-tech bezel for easy set-up versus a three-zone traveler's GMT with awkward date setting and a flashy off-color bezel? For me the choice is clear. I honestly preferred the GMT to the GMTII.

Which dial Sky Dweller are you considering? Both are great watches.

All these this v. that threads boil down to one thing: What vibe are you going for? How is this watch going to fit into your lifestyle and/or sense of fashion?

Would somewhat depend on what else I have in the collection, but in a vacuum I would would choose the Pepsi. For my wrist I feel the DD40 is already plenty large enough for the style of watch.

Sky dweller. Favourite watch in the Rolex lineup because of the ingenious way the annual calendar and second timezone is displayed and configured.

Both, it's impossible to choose as they are different.

Buuuuut, the Pepsi is more 'playful, while the SkyD more understated (both work well with Oyster / Jubilee, tho for SkyD imho you need both bracelets).

jmho ymmv

Get both, only way to be sure.

I prefer the traditional GMT layout. I have no use for an annual calendar (that’s not to say the SkyDweller isn’t a fine reference )

It’s a tough choice out of the two options as they are both great watches but I guess I’d pick the Pepsi but only just

Pepsi is nicer to me but then again I don't really find the Skydwellers very visually appealing they're a bit too complicated for me

I've always liked the Skydweller but once I owned one I have really taken a shine to it. Still waiting patiently for a Pepsi but have seen them in person multiple times.

If you are going grey the Skydweller is a better value proposition. If from the AD just take the first that comes along.

BLRO is so over-hyped and not that interesting IMO. Skydweller all day, such a cool complication (and the most complicated Rolex makes at that)

The GMT is probably sportier. I wear my Sky Dweller more dressed up and my Sea Dweller more dressed down but wear them interchangeably in a lot of situations. I appreciate the complications of the Sky Dweller more now than when I got mine. I am a big fan.

I own both and would choose the BLRO because of the military and aviation history associated with the watch.
