Submariner insert identification help

I’m trying to gather facts about this insert. Model, years, etc.

I know there’s an 16610LB. But those were two tones. This has silver markings. I had an article on it years back. Can’t find it now.

16610 or 16800? Legit?

The one pictured is genuine. I've had several of them.

If i is genuine (which it could be), then it started out with gold accents that have faded to silver.
There was no blue silver insert for 16613, not even on Serti dial as claimed above that is incorrect.

I have had many TT Sub bezels that fade to a silver color. It's very common

This is a 16613

The gold anodized numerals never fade to silver without the blue also fading somewhat.

Maybe it's from a Tudor, or aftermarket, as others have already said.

I agree to some extent Paul. The blue on my insert is not as “blue” as yours but not noticeably faded though the gold has worn to a silver hue. I asked a question about it somewhere in my tenure here and it was told to me it was normal and my insert was authentic with no issues.

The difference I notice from the OP’s and mine is the ring around the pip on mine is gold.

The blue and silver did exist on 16613 Serti dials in slate.

All Tudor Subs had the bezel for plexi models, even the 79190, which is smaller and has the acrylic pip, not metal surround pearl.

Measuring the insert would clarify but the fonts are 5-digit.

Will have been gold, with loads listed on ebay and alike at the moment. So, don't pay too much for it as they don't appear popular, as I guess the Bluesy guys wants a more gold hue and the LN guys don't tend to want a blue insert. For what it's worth; I like it and have one (for my LN).

Would be interested to read the article, if you can find it. I spent many years hunting the possibility of an original blue/silver insert but I came to the conclusion it wasn't a thing out of the factory.
