Submariner and GMT II Question - 11xxxx vs 12xxxx
Pardon me for being a bit out of the loop; I haven't been paying as close attention lately.
A few years ago, Rolex brought out the one two (12) series Submariner 41. In addition to the movement and slight case size difference, the one two (12) series Submariner 41 received a wider bracelet (from lug to clasp) and slimmer case lugs which gave it a more graceful appearance vs the one one (11) series Submariner 40. In the meantime, the GMT case/bracelet appears to be unchanged; having only received dial/bezel color changes and an upgraded movement. Has the one two (12) series GMT received a silent case size/bracelet/lug revision that I cannot pickup with the naked eye? Or is it unchanged from the one one (11) series GMT? Thank you for the input |

CHNR is 20mm lug width so I don’t think there have been changes in this GMT outside of colorways.

No changes visually, the inside is what changed from 11 to 12 GMT and the jubilee was added as an option for the bracelet.
Funny thing is, the lug to lug and the size is almost identical between 12 series Sub and 12 series GMT, apart from the lug spacing to accomodate for the 21mm bracelet. See below (TT CHNR vs SubND41). |
