High price for The Hulk

Across the web, they are $18 - $22K, yet they are priced significantly lower in the Diamond District / 47th Street. $15 - $15.5, all day long.

Prices headed lower overall. Had two calls from my AD in the past month.

If you get the call from your AD then it isn't the Hulk then is it?

So go buy from the diamond district what's the problem?

It isn’t unreasonable for distance sales through the web to be 15-20% more than their counterpart physical presence sales. Less overhead, commission (especially if you’re comparing C24 or similar pay-to-play classifieds), even the merchant fees are different for credit card payments. Walking in a store - should - be less expensive.

Im seeing prices on Moda as $17-18k for complete watches and ~$15k for naked watches. Doubt you’re going to be getting a full set for $15k on 47th street.

A Hulk needs to be with card at least, and white tag preferably.

Still too high for a bulky Sub, which Rolex will probably reintroduce in a nicer, more refined case.

That already exists. It’s called the yachtmaster.

I searched long and hard for my Hulk. You could find them in the 15 to 16 range, but not complete sets. Certainly not from known dealers.

I got a good complete set at 18k...and thought that price was great.

I remember talking with a manager of an authorized dealer about a fully stickered Hulk with an open card going for $28,000 his response was that is a lot of money to pay for a stainless steel watch. ? As we all know the Hulk is a discontinued watch which in some cases increases the value, not sure what the MSRP was for the watch when it was available through an authorized dealer. But all things considered if it's a watch that has just been in someone's collection and they're reselling it the absolute most I would pay would be somewhere between 14 and 15,000. And that's with box and papers and all the links.

No clue what watch you’re talking about. Two ADs aren’t calling you about the Hulk that was discontinued 2-3 years ago

Hulk for 15k? Would mean that the dealers on 47th are paying 13.5-14 for them

Doesn’t sound right

I saw a Hulk at a local jeweler about a year ago (maybe a little more).. They are not an authorized dealer but they have used watches. They were asking $18k. It wasn’t exactly in pristine condition and I’m not sure if it came with box and papers. I didn’t ask. I wish I did.

I’d love to see Rolex continue to be contrarian and bring it back in a 41mm size. It would do wonders for the Secondary Hulk prices.

Easy fellas, no need to nuke the Op, I think he was talking about the AD calling for current reference not a Hulk, I don’t think anyone has a 4 year old NOS In the safe.

Op, go see the ones on 47st for $15K remember to buy the dealer reputation and the condition of the Hulk.

Some of these green dial submariners and the 50th anniversary PM GMTs are being modified with fake green dials because of the resale value.
So be careful.

Does not hurt to see them and then decide. Price is not always everything! As you can see by some of the stories on TRF.

Happy Hunting,

There won't be another Hulk. A visually similar model may be introduced in the future but the Hulk will remain unique.

The case size and lug profile, the shorter clasp, the silky smooth, silent, 31 series movement and the non AR crystal. Even if Rolex reverted to the 11 series size, case design, non AR crystal and shorter clasp you won't find that lovely movement inside it.

Is it worth 15k or more? Eye of the beholder. I think not.

I would assume the OP is talking about the current reference Green Bezel Submariner as opposed to the Green Dial/Bezel Model.
