Openworked Watches
Since I started collecting, I have been a big fan of openworked watches, especially those with complications.
What are some of your favorites? High end or not, doesn’t matter. For me the Breguet Tradition line is probably the best production watch from a large brand. Amazing finish quality, engineering and design - especially for what they go for. Loads of indies to love too like the Gauthier Logical 1, Armin Strom MFR + GEF, etc. And on the affordable end, the Oris Pro Pilot X was a ton of fun. Slightly too big for me though. |

I love openworked and skeleton. Came across a nice article comparing the intricacies, maybe on Deployant? If I find it I’ll post it.
To me, AP db is amazing. The Parmigiani tonda skeleton is also a gem. The Cartier skeleton I initially didn’t like but is now growing on me. And agree, the Breguet tradition is stunning. I will follow this thread in hopes that something attainable steers me in a direction to acquire it :) |

Love the open worked look. Legibility is often an issue though not for the Breguet Tradition. But then these watches are form over function.

This is definitely on the lower end of the spectrum but a decent offering from Christopher Ward.

15407ST is the best openwork ever made. the old one, not the current gold dial which is too flashy imo

AP Millenary
My favourite watch in my collection! Impeccable finishing including cotes de geneva, perlage, bevelling, snailing etc and to top it off a beautiful engraved 22ct gold rotor. Also has the name to complete it and relatively great value pre owned, the gold equivalent is a stunner too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Kudoke does amazing hand skeletonization. I particularly like how he works the designs into the movement, like using an arbor as an eye, for example.

Wow. Thank you for sharing!!
And then there’s your VC Overseas Tourb! Not a full openworked piece but man what a stunner with the blue dial and the Maltese cross tourbillon cut out at the bottom. Truly a grail
