Rolex Daytona Book

Hello

I hope you are all well.

I'm interested in buying a book about Daytonas and I'm wondering if anyone has it, or has seen it, and can offer any opinions on it?

The book is called Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Vol 2. Self Winding Models (From 1988) by Gregoire Rossier who I think wrote the Moonwatch Only books.

I'm looking for a factual book, like the Moonwatch Only, as opposed to a book full of Rolex adverts etc, perhaps like the recent Speedmaster book!

I look forward to hearing any comments about the book you may have.

Thanks very much.

I received the 2-book set as a gift, but as of yet only the manual wind book has been Received.

First book is terrific. Just what you are looking for.

That's the one.

It appears to be up to date with the photo of the latest SS model on the front.

The book "Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Vol 2" by Gregoire Rossier is highly regarded among collectors and enthusiasts. Much like "Moonwatch Only," it focuses on factual information and detailed insights about the Daytona models, particularly the self-winding ones from 1988 onwards. Many readers appreciate the thoroughness and depth of research, which makes it a valuable addition to any watch enthusiast's library. If you're looking for something that's not just filled with advertisements, this book should meet your expectations.

Thanks.

Your reply sounds exactly like an advert taken directly from the publisher!

Have you actually seen and read the book?

Thanks very much.
By the way, in my original post I meant to say the recent Submariner book, not Speedmaster book.

I don’t know how anyone could have read the self-winding book yet as I have paid for and been waiting on my copy since March ‘24.

Ohh, I hadn’t realised that it hadn’t been released yet.

I guess that means that I will not be getting one for Christmas!

Update.

I decided I wanted this book and wife said she would buy it for me. She ordered it yesterday on Amazon with a 40% saving. It has just arrived! Order to delivery took about twenty hours which I think is very good.

The book is sealed and I've been told to leave it sealed and keep it for Christmas so I can't tell you if it is any good, but the author also did the Moonwatch Only book so I'm expecting very good things.

For me, the Mondani literature is the best. No substitute for it. They're bloody expensive though... *monopolies*

My black book (part of 2-book order) has still not come in. Strange … others getting them while I continue to wait on mine.
