Quick question about regular 16610 sub vs the LV...
Are there any physical differences between the two (aside, obviously, from the LV's green bezel)? Say if someone switched the LV's green bezel to black, can one still tell that it's the anniversary edition? Thanks...

As Luv rolex stated, the LV's are fitted with the maxi dials.

Forget the maxi case, all the new sub needs is the maxi dial and hand and it is a incredible improvement. The LV rules the sub world for this minor change IMHO.

As others have stated, the difference is the Maxi dial and hands!!IMO a great addition to the Sub,I wish all subs had this!! If I had an LV,I would change it to the black dial just for my personal taste, but anyone in the know would still be able to tell it's an LV!!
If thats what your thinking of doing,I say do it!! Rob.

I think we may see it, but I don't think we'll like it (at least right away).
Like the blue ceramic bezel, it is going to take some getting used to as it is not going to be the same green. If you look at the pictures of the LV you can see that some of the characteristics of the green color come from the fact that it is painted over an aluminum insert which gives it some sparkle or shimmer (I can't tell which); you aren't going to get that from a ceramic insert. I still haven't warmed up to the blue ceramic and I don't know if I could warm up to the green ceramic, but I'm willing to wait and see. |
