I hope it means surplus. I remain cautiously optimistic.

Does Rolex supply lead or lag a recession?

My ad just told me I was lucky to get my Batman few months back because now it'll take 7 months to get one instead of 6 weeks... And he also said originally he thought my hulk would come around Xmas but that is delayed to next year...

Here in UK I’ve noticed a lot of sports models have arrived in ADs over the past few months.

Sudden incoming surplus

My AD said that a big slug of allocation pieces just hit for Holidays. Said it was expected and doesn’t change supply dynamic going forward. Who knows how accurate this is so take it for what it’s worth. Either way maybe a good time to try and talk your way into seeing what’s in the safe...

I have an unsubstantiated theory that there larger releases quarterly. I have it in my head that we see similar incomings on or about that interval.

Perhaps this is Rolex’s way of injecting a booster shot to its measures to kill off the grey scalping. To allow the market to continue to be manipulated by the grey sellers unchecked will eventually cause irreparable harm to the brand. Once the market is back to equilibriums they can always scale back to the usual production.

I have purchased 6-7 watches between David SW and OC Rolex guy and have found their selling and asking prices on desireable SS pieces are very close, at least from my experience over the last 5 years.

My Hulk incoming was from a TS, so I’m not sure if that counts.

I thought I saw online (somewhere?) that demand in China has slowed...perhaps that’s helping out here?

I haven't done an incoming yet but I picked up a 126660 / James Cameron last weekend.

Mine was the opposite, I got the hulk in 3 months after inquiring about it. I put my name on the list for the BLNR and I’m still waiting for that but they told me around Christmas is likely. We’ll see.

We are a small subset. I've met hundreds of rolex owners irl but none from trf. I've only met trf members in person through trf.

Could the incoming also be from the Greys and AD's mixed together?

I've seen more confidence in the economy after the Senate midterm results. Doesn't apply to early October, but spending and investing both seem up.

I assume with holidays dealers loosen the purse strings a little on what they have in the vault (when you buy that diamond necklace or pm bundle) or Rolex knows the more shoppers and sends more
Overall I don’t think rolex is changing its strategy and deciding to send more ss models

I was in a small town AD over Thanksgiving. Didn't know what to expect. They had a Sea Dweller 43 just sitting in the case along with some other desirable Sports models....I bought Sea Dweller.
