Airport advertising. I've worked at over 60 airports across North America & the Caribbean.

No really hot SS model. These pics are from CDG T1 back in 2016. Price was tax free. I was just window shopping and SA offer me 5% off or more. Now I feel so dumb, I didnt get any watch. If I can travel back in time, I will empty that AD.

I managed to get a Sub ND at Heathrow T4 last year. I did have prior sales with them (WOS group) from both inside and outside the airport.

Normally there is always the guy dressed in head to toe Gucci, or whatever brand of the week with all the monograms. If he is glued to the Rolex window then I can guess they might have something in SS! :)
Montego Bay airport Jamaica AD had an Explorer last September. |

Two years ago in London they had several stainless models but I didn’t have the funds. Believe it was a sub & a hulk.

SS Daytona
Going through Schiphol about 7 years ago I picked up a SS White Dial Daytona at 5.30am as they were putting the watches in the display cabinets at Grassan - duty free : )

This may be a stupid question.... i think the odds are pretty good it is but about a year ago, I was flying through London Heathrow. In the AD case was a Sub ND. No tax, but what scared me was it going through customs. I could try and sneak it through I guess, but the show “Locked up Abroad” kept entering my head, and the option to do it legally was claim it and pay the fees, or taxes, or whatever it’s called when re-entering the states. For some models, it might be completely worth it, but in my example, would the amount I could sell that watch for minus the custom fees actually be worth it? Would I make that much of a profit? Since my plane was leaving I didn’t have time to really sit down and do the research so it stayed in the case. Go ahead, if I missed a tremendous opportunity tell me I’m a Dorklehead.

The last time I travelled through Heathrow I asked one of the assistants about waiting lists and how often they get certain models. He advised he had never even seen certain St St sports models in the outllet. When they do get them they are held in the safe and the manager deals with them personally.
